I decided to start a new project. Yes, I know, my track record for finishing projects is abysmal. That aside, I am starting a new one. Anyway, I am making a butterfly display case using origami butterflies that I fold. It will have traditional butterflies as well as Michael LaFosse butterflies. This is the first of the models.

I finished folding the elephant from Tanteidan Magazine #100. It was a challenging yet enjoyable fold.I guess you can say that it is the white “elephant in the room”. It is folded from an 8 1/4” sheet of tracing paper. I know, not ideal for folding but it was what I had available.

I finished this one today. It is made from 12 sheets.

So, I have been watching “The Walking Dead” series on AMC lately. I know many of you are probably not interested in zombies but I find the concept kind of fascinating. I was thinking the other day, “what would I want to carry to defend myself in that situation?” So, out of general curiosity I pose to you the following question:

It’s the zombie apocalypse, what handgun(s) do YOU choose to carry for close quarter combat?

Our Cat

On the floor
The great huntress waits
Ribbon be warned

My Son

Green eggs and ham
My mother read it to me
My son laughs with glee

Anonymous said: Your haiku about "double knit cotton" being "draped on bountiful peaks" sounds like it's really obviously about breasts.

Funny how poetry works that way.
